• Q magazine was founded by Mark Ellen and David Hepworth they thought there was a gap in the market for older music buyers.
• It was first published in 1986.
• Monthly production and higher standards of printing and photography.
• Originally was going to be called cue but they felt it would be mistaken for a snooker magazine.
• Also a single letter tittle would stand out more on new-stands.
• It has an extensive review section, new releases, film and live concert reviews.
• Every issue has a different message on the spine.
