Music can be split into various genres that fit certain groups of people which are usually stereotyped, for example Emo's, grungers, chavs etc. These are usually linked with certain music styles. Chavs are usually associated with pop and R 'N' B. By deciding which Genre my media product will use, it will help determine what sort of 'stereotype' I am aiming for therefore my target audience.
