Front Cover Analysis of an older issue of Q

This is my analysis of the front cover of an older issue of Q magazine. It is important to look at the differences between the new and older issues of the same magazine to see how the music industry has changed. If a style of a magazine changes its usually down to the likes and dislikes of the target audiences changing or the editors could feel that by changing their target audience they will make more money. The older Q magazine is more vibrant and busy whereas the newer issue is darker and simplified. This is probably due to the audience in the early eighties we're into disco which was associated with bright colours and Elton John was influenced by disco around that time. whereas the teenage audience currently are seen to like a more simplified layout with the cover artist dominating the front cover.
